Porsche Has Impressive Line Up, Including Cayman Targa

It is not a secret that Porsche has a huge sales ambition. About how will they reach that ambition, is another matter. In addition to such diverse products as the Panamera and Cayenne, it is clear that it will be integral to extend their product range. The recently appointed CEO of Porsche, Matthias Mueller, has given some clues about what will be in store from the product pipeline.

The first one might be a Targa version of the Cayman. It could stand to bridge the gap between the Cayman coupe and the open-top counterpart, Boxter, with removable sliding roof panels. When talking to Automotive News, Mueller hinted at plans to introduce their sub-Boxster four-cylinder sports car that based on the Boxster’s platform, but with the possible use of Volkswagen Golf components to keep the low cost.

Beside that, Porsche has another big plans for their Panamera, including the possible derivatives that might be a coupe or convertible as rumored, and a spins-off for other Volkswagen divisions such as Bentley, Lamborghini, or Audi. The only thing that sure here is that Porsche will not only sit back and rely on to just one continuing product line anymore.

Subaru Trezia Headed To Europe

Subaru Trezia Headed To Europe

When we are thinking about the collaboration of Toyota and Subaru, the first thing that comes to our mind will be the highly anticipated rear wheel drive ‘Toyobaru’ project car. While the FT-86 and the Subaru sibling comes first in our mind, it was not the number one come to the market.

Automotive News has reported that Subaru will unveil their Trezia hatchback car in March at Geneva Auto Show. The roomy five door car which closely mirrors Honda Fit in almost every measurement will be a near spot on match to the Toyota Verso where it is based on. But the Impreza style grille slapped on the front clim and some badging from Subaru sprinkled throughout the car.

Both Toyota Verso or Ractics and Subaru Trezia are already sold in Japan now, and both vehicles are destined to the European showrooms this spring. In Japan, this Trezia is powered with a choice of 1.3 liter and 1.5 liter inline four cylinder gasoline engines mated into a CVT. In Europe, the 1.5 will be replaced with 1.4 liter diesel. Also in Japan, the users had an option with all wheel drive that provided car buyers an option with a more powerful engine, which will likely be a turbodiesel in Europe.
